Come visit us and start your own bamboo groves.

Hello and thanks for visiting our site. If you decide to visit, you will be treated special and most likely become our new bambusero friend while touring the bamboo forest. Unlike smaller nurseries, we can accommodate tours and on site customers.

Elevated walkways, boardwalks and over one mile of pathways are located through out the groves. There are many sitting areas and plenty of chairs, free cold drinks, free souvenir bamboo staffs and rest room facilities are provided.

We enjoy you visiting and will always try to make time for tours. A member of our family will be you the entire visit. We answer all your questions and show you through the bamboo groves. Visits have to be made by appointments due to the amount of time required to tour our groves and purchase bamboo. We always enjoy walking through our groves and talking bamboo with customers.

Appointments must work around our primary business which is mail order bamboo. Your time is valuable as is ours, so we do require a minimum purchase. There is no minimum purchase if you mail order, but small purchases of less than $200 should be done through our mail order services.

On average each visit to our bamboo farm will last from 2 to 3 hours and is concluded with us preparing your bamboo for your trip home. We will make sure that your bamboo is properly loaded and protected for your ride home. Whether it is a trailer full and just a few small divisions, we will be happy to help you.

Below you can see some large three gallon size plants being loaded. If you pick-up three gallon size plants you can usually get larger ones that cannot be shipped mail order. Some of our packing methods occasionally entails employees getting closed insides doors.

Appointments are made Monday through Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm to select and pick up bamboo. The rest of the week is set aside for mail order bamboo preparations and shipping. Some exceptions can be made for appointments after 12 noon on Sundays.

There is no minimum on mail order purchases, so if you wish to purchase a small order it would be best to have it mailed. Currently, October, 2006 we will ship over 5000 bamboo divisions annually via UPS ground.

Our nursery and farm are growing grounds and not a garden center. There are nice pathways through out the groves, but there are areas where walking can be tricky. Our home based groves are located on flat river bottom land with only a small portion have any hills.

Please wear appropriate footwear and all children must be well supervised.

You can visit our Our Bamboo News  to see many photos and articles written about some of our guest who have picked up bamboo here. There are hundreds of photos, many showing how we prepare your new bamboo for its trip home.

Orders are worked up via email or on the phone. We can address your questions by email and that is usually the best way to setup a visit.

There are ample selections of plants ready to be purchased, but our stock has a large turnover and changes weekly. Depending on the time of year, our inventory of containerized bamboo varies from 4000 to over 7000. The container sizes vary from the small two gallon to huge 45 gallon weighing over 350 to 400 pounds each.

We can custom dig your bamboo plants. Since we would be digging our bamboo with your specifications, we require a prepaid 20%  deposit on all custom digs. Once this type order is dug, we hold the bamboo at least 6 weeks to stabilize them, depending on the species and time of year. See our Policy for more details on orders picked up here.

Below are examples of orders that appointments would be made for:

Minimum $200 purchase of large B&B Field Specimen divisions ranging from 8 to 30 feet in height.

Minimum $200 purchase of containerized bamboo that the customer wishes to save shipping and handling cost.

If you would like to order, just email us back or call 205-292-0536 (8 am. to 4 p.m. CDT) and we will be happy to work with you.

We will provide directions to our nursery once your appointment is confirmed.

Once you arrive to pick up your order, if you wish to tour the groves, a liability release form must be signed.

We will load all your bamboo and protect it from wind for its trip home. We wrap larger orders in plastic
to prevent wind damage. Smaller containers can just ride within the vehicle if there is room.

Dogs must be kept on a leash due to damage they may cause or possible injury to them by running freely
throughout the bamboo forest and surrounding woods.

Children need to be well supervised due to the terrain and adjoining river that surrounds our bamboo on two sides.

Payment terms:

Orders picked up here must be paid by cash or certified check. We offer discounts on cash purchases.

No personal checks accepted due to past problems encountered resulting in lost revenues and bamboo.
