Pleioblastus hindsii

This very attractive large leaf bamboo having little foliage at the bottom of mature canes.  A large flume
of foliage is present at the tops making it an outstanding ornamental planting.  Top foliage reveals
 the quasi persistent culms which are just beautiful.

This hard to find species has to be the most erect Pleioblastus we grow.
It has large leaves and grows to 15 feet in height. Around 80%
of its foliage in the top quarter of the canes.
