Typical new canes of Golden bamboo emerge green, then with age and
 sun light the canes turn golden in color. This rare form of Aurea  emerges
yellow and has random green stripes. The canes will evenually turn
to a beautiful orange color with age.



  In USDA Climate Zone 7 and 8 expect mature size canes to be over 30 feet in height.
In USDA Climate Zone 6 expect mature size canes to be 16 feet in height.
I do not recommend this species for climate zones 6 and 5.
