Delivery Quote for
Large Bamboo Specimens
In 2007, an enclosed 24 long X 8.6 feet wide
new trailer was purchased for large order
deliveries. With 14,000 lb. dual axles and many extras
the trailer will really help out. Bamboo custom dug
from 18 to 26 feet tall can be loaded with ease and be protected.
In order to provide our customers with large specimens we have
worked up some general quotes to help you in deciding whether you would
prefer to pick them up here or have us deliver them to your location.
Below are
three charts with charges for delivery up to 1000 miles.
Quotes are based on current fuel prices.
Updates to these quotes are done monthly in order to stay
current with the rising cost of fuel.
These are charges for bamboo purchases of $1200 (minimum bamboo purchase for delivery) and up to $7000. These are calculated from previous cost with the use of one4 X 4 truck with or without a trailer. With our largest
trailer we can carry 50 standard size field specimens. Our standard size FS are 12 to 16 foot height range and 75 to 100 lb. total weight per division. We can carry up to 5000 pound total load weight excluding trailer weight. Delivery cost are in addition to the bamboo purchase. Quotes are figured from our nursery which is 50 miles west of Birmingham, Alabama.
Once you determine the one way distance, round up to the nearest chart mileage. When figuring mileage, keep in mind additional miles for pull off. Often 25 to 50 miles are accumulated when exits are taken for rest breaks, dinning and hotel accommodations.

For deliveries within a 300 mile radius, we charge $435.00 G. For deliveries within a 350 mile radius, we charge $456.00 |

For larger orders over $7000 or 5000 pound load weight, we use large covered trucks to transport the bamboo. Weight becomes an issue with larger loads and alternate transport methods must be used. Often loads exceed
10,000 pounds and more than one large covered truck must be utilized.
Delivery cost for these large loads are calculated once we have all the order information. We will be happy to give you a quote on any size order delivered anywhere within the continental U.S. excluding California.
