This
tough bamboo is
known as one of the best performers under stress.
It can handle
desert heat and winter temperatures to -11 degrees F.
before
having any foliage damage! It roots are cold hardy to -21 degrees F.
and is very drought tolerant. It hails from
Yangtze valley in southern
China
and grows into northern India. I seldom
have enough
of this to go around for
customers in Nevada and Arizona
usually sell out
the first month of Spring!

New shoot of
P. decora above and below.

Decora spreads very quickly and forms a
beautiful grove providing
privacy and walk through groves.
