Bamboo Lighthouses

Bamboo Lighthouses

These lighthouses are made of all bamboo culms, each one is different. Each rock is selected and chiseled out to accept the base of the lighthouse.

Pathways and steps are chiseled into each rock along with handrails made of bamboo. Over twenty hours of work goes into each lighthouse.

Several small boxes made of bamboo with knobs of Ph. nigra (Black).
Bamboo makes beautiful pipes which Ph. nigra was used for the stems.

Bamboo Table
This table was made with Ph. viridis for the legs and Ph. nigra (Black) for the cross bracing. This picture really doesn't do it justice but with the smoked glass top on top of the black bamboo, it is really pretty.

Didgeridoos

Didgeridoos

These aboriginal musical instruments are made of bamboo and have been played by the aboriginal people for thousands of years. I have experimented with several species and each has a distinct tone depending on the wall thickness and length of the culm.
