On this trip, they decided to get Phyllostachys viridis 'Robert Young' and Phyllostachys nigra 'Black'. They plan on coming back closer to the spring to get some large divisions of Moso, always a fun species. Thanks for your order and we enjoyed getting to meet you. |

We had the opportunity to get to work with designer and owner of Urbanscape, Andrew Morrow again. He understands how to effectively use bamboo in his designs and comes up with some great ideas. |
| This bamboo was installed in Mountain Brook, AL. It was a beautiful house that was nearing completion. He had designed a modern courtyard area for entertaining. |

The black bamboo is going to be installed along the right hand side of the courtyard and framed by boxwoods. It is a contemporary design and should compliment the metal artwork and fountains that will be installed. Thanks again for your order and it is pleasure to do business with you. |

| Today, Samantha and Paul from Miami visited. They bought five divisions of Phyllostachys Vivax as a gift for a friend. After learning that there were so many different varieties of bamboo, they also became interested in it. They intend to visit again and purchase some bamboo for Paul's land. It is a place to escape the city and he thinks that bamboo will be the perfect addition. We enjoyed your visit. Thanks. |

They had planted over 30 three gallon clumping varieties of bamboo. They wanted those replace with some large divisions of running bamboo to achieve a good screen. |
They picked out some very nice Phyllostachys nigra 'Black', Phyllostachys aureosulcata and Phyllostachys spectabilis. For the really large variety, they chose Phyllostachys nigra 'Henon' (Giant Gray Henon).

Lynn from TN visited today. Visits can be arranged on any day of the week with appointments. Here we are looking at a grove of Vivax Aureocaulis. |
| Lynn had seen a beautiful bamboo grove at the Dallas Botanical Gardens. He desired some large diameter bamboo to make a Japanese style garden in his landscape. He decided to chose Phyllostachys Nigra Henon. This is a great selection for a large diameter bamboo in colder climate zones. | ![]() |

With our wrapping, Lynn was able to carry
some large specimens home with him. We really enjoyed his visit and was
glad to be able to help him create a beautiful landscape at his home. |

This is the nightmare that we all are afraid of. This was a nice couple living in a nice forest when they were invaded by a parking lot. Not just any parking lot, a parking lot that hosts an assortment of local events. As an added bonus they can hear the traffic from the nearby road now and are kept up with the bright lights.
They decided to purchase the Phyllostachys Rubromarginata and Phyllostachys Vivax because of the height available from these two species. They both size up fast. Vertical screening is of great importance because of the location of the house and the lighting from the parking lot. Hopefully in a couple of years the parking lot problem will be solved. Thanks for your order and we were very glad that you called on us to help. Thanks Tonya and Sam.
