Jeff purchased a large quantity of Semiarundinaria okuboi seen in the
first photo. This species makes a beautiful privacy screen with a
maximum height of around eighteen feet. |

It was a challenge, but we packed all his new plants in his enclosed 16 foot trailer. |
We gave Jeff a small in-service to get him very familiar with all the plants that he has purchased. Jeff even dug a 15 gallon P. nigra 'Henon' to get the feel for digging. |

Clark had a list of several species that he wanted to get. They all were shrub bamboos and several variegated varieties. |

This is a privacy screen using Indocalamus latifolius. The maximum height is only ten feet on this species. |

Look at the yellow grooves in the P. viridis 'Houzeau'. This is a very nice species that can attain a diameter of three inches with a height of 45 feet. Very impressive with the size and color. |

This project is going to be very beautiful with the the bamboo as an
added feature to the amazing water features. The bright yellow color of
the canes with be very complimentary. Mike told us that this had been designed by his friend that was one of the climbers that did not make it off Mount Hood last winter. We really hated to hear that. |

The plants are unwrapped and ready to unload. All the plants were 14 to 16 feet tall. P. nigra 'Henon' seems to do very well in Tennessee. There is also very large grove in Cherokee, North Carolina that has been there for many years. |
Tim had a very beautiful backyard with several water features. He wanted to incorporated bamboo into his design. The bamboo will stay evergreen and make winter an even better season of the year. |

![]() Above are some 15 gallon 'Giant Gray' Henon. These are all 12 to 16 feet with multiple canes. Jeff also ordered some 'Tanakae' in the 30 gallon sizes, 15 gallon 'Golden', 'Japanese Palm', 'Aureocaulis' and many more varieties. |
