Semiarundinaria fastuosa
'TEMPLE BAMBOO' or 'JAPANESE PALM'
This species has very erect canes which age to a beautiful purple or dark reddish color. This the most erect species we grow. Mature culms are very straight, erect with foliage only at the top one third of the culms. Often referred to as one of the red bamboo. This species has quasi persistent culm sheaths. Bamboo in its natural setting is free to roam finding just the right sun light and soil nutrients to grow to its mature species size. In a container, it is not capable of this and will rely solely on your care.
In cold climate zones you must move the container into a protected warm area during the cold winter months. 2 gallon - $35 call
3 gallon - $65 call | Climate Zone 6 or warmer | Sun or Shade |
