Today, we had visitors from nearby (35 miles) Tuscaloosa, AL. It was a cold day but Mims and her husband Shane and Amanda and her husband Ram made the trip. |
| They were very interested in starting their own bamboo nursery to capitalize on some family land they had inherited. We discussed bamboo uses and applications. We also touched on some suitable species for their potential customers and propagation methods. |

Here we are discussing the anatomy of a bamboo cane on a very unique species, green onion bamboo. For more pictures of this bamboo click here. After spending a couple of hours getting to know their potential product, they chose a few species and left with a lot of information to help them decide how to utilize their new land. |
| The next step is a site evaluation of their farm. We have helped many nurseries and individuals get started in bamboo and enjoy seeing people excited about it. It is a great plant that we love. We greatly appreciate the business and hope we are able to help in the future. |

| This is a busy day. We have three delivery scheduled
in Texas. The first one was in Longview, TX to Mr. Carlile. He was

There will be a multi-tiered concrete planting bed expanding from where we stand, down to the lower level. The upper bed will contain Gray Bamboo for a tall screen, and the lower bed will contain ornamentals plants to compliment the pool. This will be an amazing area when completed and we greatly appreciate the order. |
| The next order was to Highland Park, TX. This order of Phyllostachys Nigra 'Henon' Giant Gray and Phyllostachys Nigra 'Black' will be used to screen the courtyard and provide privacy for the hot tub. |

They already have a beautiful courtyard and the bamboo will
add a nice natural feel with lots of privacy. We greatly appreciate the order and hope the bamboo provides you the privacy you want. |
This is Gregg's home in downtown Dallas, TX. Greg is a repeat customer, who wanted a couple more large plants while we where in town. This beautiful bamboo is Phyllostachys viridis 'Robert Young'. |

Two deliveries will be to repeat
customers in Dallas. Armstrong Berger Landscape Architect will be
getting 30 gallon
'Henon' and 15 gallon
'Black' bamboo for a client of theirs. The last delivery will be 15 gallon 'Robert Young' to a customer who already has this species planted. |
We are excited to start this new year off with good customers that love bamboo and are making this world a greener place to live.
Bamboo is a crucial element in the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. A grove of bamboo releases 35% more oxygen than a equivalent stand of trees. Because of this, planting bamboo is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and help fight global warming. A perfect selection for Going Green.
