Mark, Cheri and thier son Blaine visited our nursery on
Saturday, April 6 to pick out some plants for their screening needs.
They ordered some P. bambusoides
'Slender Crookstem'. Since we did not have these ready to go, we had
to dig and stabilize them before delivery. |

All the plants were ready so we delivered them today. They also got some P. aureosulcata 'Spectabilis', P. nigra 'Henon', P. dulcis and Indocalamus latifolius. These species will work well in their location at this beautiful home. |
| Mark and Cheri wanted a bamboo screen to block out a newly constructed house over looking their pool. The 'Slender Crookstem' will get tall enough, at maturity, to do the job very well. |

| Today, Larenda and her daughter visited. They needed bamboo to provide privacy for their home. The bamboo farm is a nice learning experience for children. It gives them a day to be outside and learn about an unique plant. |

After looking at the different species, They decide to use the Golden Aurea for their screen. We really appreciate their business and enjoyed meeting them. |

This is Celia and her husband who live in nearby Birmingham, AL. They wanted some pretty bamboo plants for a container planting. |
| After viewing the different types of bamboo, they chose Green Onion, Koi, Black, and Spectabilis for their planters. These very unique species that run the gambit in shape, size and color. These plants will definitely add to the landscape of their home a very unique ambiance. We appreciate the order and hope they enjoy their bamboo. |

| We delivered to Monkey Island, OK this weekend. Our customer, G needed an instant screen with some height to provide privacy for her and her neighbor. You can see the planting location between the two houses. G's house is on the right hand side. |

Here is a closer view of the planting site and this beautiful lakeside location. She needed plants with height because of the change of elevation to the water. |
| We stock large plants to accommodate these needs. These are 45 gallon division of Phyllostachys nigra Henon 'Giant Gray'. These plants are over 35' tall and weigh about 400 lbs. These combined with some 30 and 15 gallon plants will give her the privacy she desired. We really appreciate the order and it was nice to get to meet her and see this beautiful lakeside home. |

| Today we deliver to Long Island, NY. We took a large order to Wong Landscaping. Mr. Wong was doing the landscape design for the Scotts. Some of you who garden often might recognize them as the people who own Miracle Grow. |

These are some of the plants that were ordered. They own the end of a very exclusive neighborhood and have homes built for multiple members of their family. Bamboo was chosen to provide privacy. |
| Bamboo will be used in this landscape and between the houses to provide privacy. Since bamboo is an evergreen, they will have a screen all year long. |

This is some of their breathtaking views. Their
vantage is across a salt marsh into the ocean. It was an extremely cool
place to have a house, more or less houses. We greatly appreciate Mr. Wong for selecting us to be a part of his project. |

This week we are taking bamboo to Greensboro, NC and Long Island, NY. Our first stop was at the Greensboro Natural Science Center. They are planting bamboo to add to the ambience of this great place. |
| This place already has most every animal that you can think of but the bamboo is being planted for the future arrival of red pandas. Red pandas eat bamboo and having a food source already established makes the Greensboro Natural Science Center a great candidate to receive pandas. |

Here is one of their peacocks that roams free. I believe this is the first time that our bamboo has been pictured with a peacock. We greatly appreciate their order and encourage anybody in the area to stop by and visit the Natural Science Center. |

| This has
been the busiest April since we have been running our bamboo nursery.
Bamboo has become so increasing popular for screening purposes and just
as ascent plants in gardens. We have been shipping 200 plus plants each
Monday since the first of March. Many more customers have visited the
nursery and hand selected their bamboo than ever before. We have scheduled deliveries of large field specimens for the next five weeks. Two weeks ago, we delivered to Dallas and back to Fort Worth last week. Tomorrow we are off to Long Island, New York to deliver a trailer load that Wong Landscaping has had ordered since February. The following week we are delivering to Monkey Island, Oklahoma. The next week we are off to Atlanta. Then back to Dallas on May 14th. We are very thankful for all the business and enjoy seeing customers get so excited about a plant that will give them privacy and stay evergreen in the Winter. Bamboo is a great solution for 'Going Green'. Below are photos of the plants being delivered to Long Island. |

We were back in Texas this week. This time at Fort Worth delivering to Mrs. Busch. She has had bamboo at her house for years. She just bought a new ranch outside of town on the river. The future location for the bamboo is where the soil is pushed up. |
| This new ranch land has a gas well located on it. She wants to use bamboo to screen out the well and decrease the noise that can be heard from it. She chose most all varieties of large timber bamboo, we stock, to provide privacy. |

She bought 30 gallon size plants to get a good start
at screening this gas well. We had a nice trip out and really enjoyed meeting Mrs. Busch. We greatly appreciate your order and hope this bamboo will get this screened out as soon as possible. |

| Jeff and Pam are repeat customers that had visited us last December. They are very excited about bamboo and interested in getting some larger plants to jump start their bamboo groves. Here they are examining a Moso shoot. |

This is a 55 gallon container of bamboo. This is a great way to get get your bamboo groves started and break your back. Here, Denny takes a quick moment to size it up before the fun begins. |
| Here is all the bamboo loaded. Jeff and Pam decided to get Phyllostachys nigra 'Henon' Giant Gray and Phyllostachy Moso. These large divisions will provide large bamboo fast and give them the size canes they are wanting without waiting. It was a pleasure to get to see them again and we definitely appreciate their order. |

Today we made a delivery to Dallas, TX. This was to help add privacy to a residence. Larger division on Phyllostachy Nigra and Phyllostachy Nigra 'Megurochiku' were ordered to provide an instant privacy impact. |
| These bamboos, along with others not pictured, are to be planted in the courtyard of this nice home. The nigra, also called black, and the megurochiku, also called black stripe bamboo, compliment each other well. It will added a lot of value to the modern look of this home as well as privacy. |
